Autumn Wedding Ideas

I LOVE the Autumn. The light is golden, the air crisp and you get to wrap yourself up in woolly jumpers and wear wellies!
I got married in September, we were really lucky with the weather as it was very sunny and warm. If your not sure what time of year to get married consider the beauty of the Fall!

Embrace the gorgeous colours that are unique to Autumn and use them as inspiration for your theme.
Get romantic, think quiet golden country lanes and open fire places.
These simple ruby apples make a charming place holder!
Go dramatic with deep reds, burnt oranges and creamy vanillas.
I love the look of this quirky vintage brooch bouquet and it will never wilt! An heirloom for future generations!

Indulge your bridesmaids with sumptuous velvets, luxurious silks and vintage treasures!

Use the dramatic autumnal landscape in your wedding photographs.

For food ideas think comfort, sweet, sticky, earthy, hearty and humble.
These mini sticky toffee puddings are perfect!
Also use autumn colours in your food such as deep purple in grapes and creamy whites in strong cheeses!
Treat your guests to a beautiful detailed cake painted with autumnal themes.

And for little sweet treats think seasonal raspberries!
I hope this post has been inspiring to help make your beautiful day even more special!

Garden Party

At the weekend I went to my friends wedding and their reception was held in the grooms parents garden and it was gorgeous and truly magical! It inspired me to look into other garden wedding ideas and heres some just for you!

I LOVE this almost tree house approach to the tables! How romantic, whimsical and magical!

My friend had put fairy lights up so when we strolled back to our car we could see where we were going, sooo cute and thoughtful.

I love how these could have been picked from the garden that morning. My morning bouquet was picked by my hubby in the morning and he sent them over to my sister, it was a gorgeous, sweet idea. I felt like a little girl getting her first flower from her admirer, expept I was 24!

Garden weddings can also be very dramatic when a few key props are added in a quirky way! Great to wow your guests.
This is like a deam! The reflection from the ground makes it magical!

Maid of honour....walk of shame

Talk about scary!
The choosing of the bridesmaids dresses can be both a terrifying choice for the bride: will they like the dress/ will it fit and suit everyone/will they still be my friend afterwards and for the bridesmaids: what was she thinking/ mauve is sooo not my colour/ the other maids look better in their dresses than me!
I can't imagine these ladies liked their choice, hence the pixelated faces!

Ooo, southern belles indeed!

Here's a few ideas I LOVE for those fabulous best friends in frocks!

I love how these bridesmaids although dressed in different colours the style, accessories and cowboy boots all match! Sooo sweet and shows the individuality of the maids which I think is fun and cute!

If your maids are to be dressed the same why not dress them like rock stars like these hotties! They look like a 1960's girl band with hidden mics in their bouquets! Rock on!

If the dresses match why not mix up the style of shoe like in this gorgeous pic. How sweet and I love how the red pops out against the feminine muted dresses. Very stylish!

What better way to compliment the fab bouquets than having the dresses match! I love how the dresses look like they were made for the flowers, like a magical extension of the fabric! How romantic!

These lovelies are my sisters and bridesmaids, I wanted to make sure they felt comfy and confident in their dresses. Aimie on the left had just had a baby and felt abit body conscious so we decided that she'd wear a dress she already had. For Kate on the right we designed and made her dress with a Greek goddess in mind and I love how it turned out. She had little gold sandles and I made her tiara complete with little gold wings!

What did your bridesmaids wear? Did they choose with you? And if your soon to be married how are you choosing yours? Is it colour before style? I'd love to know!

"A Very English Tea Party"

This is one of my personal favorite themes for a wedding and is pretty big at the moment. With bondless bunting, pretty stacks of teacups and whimsical wild flowers its a darling look for a romantic wedding day.

I'm completly in LOVE with is dress by Atelier Aimee bridal dress. Sooo romantic, gentle and feminine. This dress makes me want to get married again!(To the same man of course) And worn with the "Butterfly Crown" that I make to order would just look amazing!

This theme lends its self perfectly for pretty favors for your treasured guests and what better way to make them feel extra special and loved than a gorgeous soap or bath bomb! These cute chicken soaps look fabulous arranged on wedding tables in amongst flowers and can also act as name place cards! You choose the colour and the fragrance can mtach the flowers in your bouquet or even your perfume!

Scented teacup and teapot candles are as well as looking gorgeous, can help set a romantic mood when lit in the evening. I add candle glitter so as they burn down they sparkle! A table full of glittering candles just looks magical!

And for the bride or bridesmaids this cute necklace just looks fabulous! It too can be made to match your colour scheme! I love customising!
